Feb 21st on the Martha Pullen "Martha's Sewing Room" T.V. show Martha read a letter Pat Fritze wrote about US in her "Sewing from the Heart" segment: "Dear Martha, The Oklahoma City Chapter of the American Sewing Guild made 30 bags and little pillows for post mastectomy patients. They are used under their arms after surgery. This is a project we do every year but this past year was a record year. We also donated 300 Christmas stockings filled with goodies to a group of adults and children. We had stocking contests in the guild and then donated the stockings. There were also 40 bags for walkers donated to a nursing home. These projects were all sewn from the heart. Pat Fritze Oklahoma City American Sewing Guild President from Norman, Oklahoma" then Martha says "Pat, we just thank you so much and all of the American Sewing Guild chapters for your incredible work you are doing. Not only teaching sewing and showing the love of sewing but doing volunteer sewing from the heart. Thank you American Sewing Guild" |
